Meet Dr. Jessica Elliott

In life, tough situations will arise. Whether it’s relationship issues, academic struggles or self-esteem difficulties, sometimes we all need to take a step back to figure out how to overcome obstacles placed in our path. Part of facing these challenges includes reflecting on our past, exploring our present and considering how these factors can impact our future. Therapy can help with overcoming these issues and allowing you to move forward with your dreams and aspirations. Together, we can work towards accomplishing your goals, exploring your feeling and unlocking your potential.

My Approach

I am a Licensed Psychologist who has been working in the mental health field for 10+ years. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2013 and then graduated from William Paterson University with a Master’s in Clinical and Counseling Psychology in 2016. After this, I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University in 2022.

I completed an APA-accredited internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare in Newark, New Jersey where I had the opportunity to work with children, teens and families in a hospital and school setting. I have also worked with children, teens and young adults in outpatient, IOP, PHP, inpatient, foster care and community mental health settings.

I provide individual therapy and family therapy related to concerns such as interpersonal difficulties, identity issues, emotion regulation, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD. I also provide parent training and consultation. I have completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and I utilize Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral and Humanistic approaches in order to best meet the needs of the person I’m working with.

While I reside in the beautiful state of New Jersey, I am licensed in New Jersey and New York while also having the ability to provide teletherapy services to the 40 U.S. states that participate in PSY PACT.
